How do I work out what my Huawei P20 is worth?

You can quickly find out how much your Huawei P20 is worth by filling out the valuation calculator above. Simply tell us the 'condition', 'network', 'internal storage' and 'quantity' of the device(s) you want to sell and we'll do the rest!

Selling tips

A Huawei P20 in better 'condition' commands a higher trade-in valuation! We want to be completely transparent with how we determine the 'condition' of any handset. So we've included our criteria on every product page across our Buy Back Store. They've been split into just four categories: New, Good, Poor and Broken. Key indicators of a handset in 'good' condition are a device in full working order with no obvious external imperfections (light wear and tear aside).

Find out whether your phone 'locked' or 'unlocked' from its network provider! If your old Huawei P20 is still 'locked' to a provider (e.g. Vodafone, EE, O2), it usually stands to make less in any trade-in deal. To 'unlock' your device, contact your provider or visit their website - they'll have all the information and instructions you need!

Higher capacity = slightly higher valuation! If you have an old Huawei P20 128GB, you'll make more money for it in our Buy Back Store. But that doesn't mean you won't get a great price for the 64GB version too!

No need to send accessories! If you have additional accessories (e.g. cases, screen protectors or bespoke headphones) you won't receive an increased cash valuation. At The Big Phone Store, we only require the handset and any charging cables. If you send accessories, there's a good chance we won't be able to return them. And if we can't, we'll dispose of them in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

Perform a Factory Reset! Although it makes no difference to the valuation of your phone, we highly recommend performing a Factory Reset and protecting your privacy. Over a 12 month period, we discovered that almost half of all mobile phones sent to our Buy Back Store still had owner pictures, videos and messages on them - some even had notes with passwords and / or contact details. To protect your privacy, get onto Huawei's website and perform a hard reset of your device today. There are also plenty of online tutorials, including specific guides for the P20!

How do I sell my Huawei P20?

We've come up with a hassle-free trade-in process that gets you paid fast! Here's how it works:

  1. Get your valuation and place your order. Tell us the 'condition', 'network', etc. of your device and give us a few important personal details (including a bank account for the cash transfer). With that, your order's placed!

  2. Send your device. Using the Freepost Bag in your Welcome Pack, send your Huawei P20 to us. Remember... the sooner you do this, the quicker you get paid!

  3. Wait for confirmation. We'll let you know when your order arrives. We'll then inspect your device and see whether the 'condition', etc. are as you initially indicated.

  4. You get paid! Once everything's been confirmed by our team, expect the agreed payment to be transferred to your chosen bank account on the same day!

Want even faster trade-in?

Select 'print own label' when placing your order. You'll then be able to send your device to us the same day as getting your valuation! Postage is still free (minus the cost of any packing materials).

Can I sell my broken Huawei P20?

Don't throw away your broken Huawei P20! Because there's still a good chance it qualifies for one of our unbeatable valuations. Have a look the 'broken' criteria in the first instance. You'll see they cover a wide range of common faults, defects and issues associated with damage.

Should I recycle my broken phone?

If you're thinking 'I can't sell my Huawei P20 because it's broken beyond repair', don't worry! You still have a few options and we urge you not to send it to landfill. Instead, take advantage of our free recycling service and dispose of your Huawei handset in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

The Big Phone Store operates as a WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Authorised Treatment Facility. We're also fully registered with the Environmental Agency and recycle all electrical devices according to guidance set out by the Environmental Protection Act (1990) and Hazardous Waste Regulations (2005).
