Where can I sell a Samsung Galaxy S10?
You can sell the Samsung Galaxy S10 in any number of buy back stores - both on the High Street or on the internet. But remember... At The Big Phone Store, we're rarely beaten on price. We're also a Buy Back store that always pays in cash (as a bank transfer), placing no limits on when, where and how you spend your money!
And if you want to upgrade your Samsung Galaxy S10, why not take a look at our online store. We've got an amazing range of new and refurbished handsets - like the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max and the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus - as well as a wide selection of cases, covers and screen protectors designed to keep any device safe from unexpected bumps, drops or scrapes. You can even use the cash value of your Samsung Galaxy S10 against some of our other great tech products, such as smart speakers, games consoles or LCD TVs. We've got every budget and requirement covered at The Big Phone Store!
How much can I sell my old Samsung Galaxy S10 for?
We like to keep things simple at The Big Phone Store and only consider three things when determining the value of any Samsung Galaxy S10 - 'network', 'storage' and 'condition'.
When it comes to 'network', you'll first want to find out whether your smartphone is 'locked' or 'unlocked'. If your device is 'unlocked' from its network provider (BT, EE, Three, Vodafone, etc.), it tends to generate a higher trade-in valuation. It's easy enough to find out whether your Samsung Galaxy S10 is still 'locked'. Just contact your network provider, who'll provide all the information you need. There's also plenty to be found on their websites, including how to 'unlock' your phone and those all-important contact numbers!
Then there's 'storage'. We accept the Samsung Galaxy S10 128GB and 512GB. Although not always the case, higher internal 'storage' usually means higher value!
And with 'condition', we've split our criteria into just four categories at The Big Phone Store: New, Good, Poor and Broken. Here are a few of the key things we use to determine the 'condition' of any Samsung Galaxy S10:
New. In the original, sealed box. Must not be refurbished or reconditioned. Must be the factory original. Must be removed from any account that could limit usage.
Good. Full working order. Only light wear and tear. No damage, scratches, defects, chips, dents, marks or imperfections. LCD screen must have no signs of discolouration, screen burn, or any other imperfections. No dust under the screen or camera. Must contain genuine parts only. Must have Good Battery Health.
Poor. Full working order. Average wear and tear acceptable. LCD screen must have no signs of discolouration, screen burn, or any other imperfections. Must contain genuine parts only. Must have Satisfactory Battery Health and not require a service.
Broken. Has faults, is damaged, or may not work correctly. Must not be bent, crushed, or in pieces. Must have no internal missing parts.
You can find further information about our 'condition' criteria above, as well as in our full Terms and Conditions.
Can I sell my broken Samsung Galaxy S10?
Of course you can still sell your broken Samsung Galaxy S10. But that doesn't mean every 'broken' handset has buy-back value. If you want to find out whether yours does, take a look at our full criteria for 'broken' devices. As long as your Samsung Galaxy S10 meets these conditions (most do), you'll find the best possible deal for it at The Big Phone Store!
Can I recycle my Samsung Galaxy S10?
You can. If your Samsung Galaxy S10 is broken or damaged beyond repair, you can recycle it with us for free! Each year, thousands of unwanted handsets are sent to landfills, where their metal constructions and lithium batteries mean they don't easily compose and can quickly become harmful to animals, humans and the wider environment.
At The Big Phone Store, we never send parts or devices to landfills. We instead dispose of them in the most environmentally friendly, responsible and sustainable ways possible - always following guidance set out by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive, the Environmental Protection Act (1990) and Hazardous Waste Regulations (2005).
How do I wipe the data from my Samsung Galaxy S10?
We know how important personal data is to you. So we've come up with a handy guide to performing a Factory Reset and permanently wiping any data from your device:
Before proceeding, make sure you have at least 50% battery - if not, connect your Samsung Galaxy S10 to a power source. A Factory Reset also cannot be undone and you'll permanently lose your personal data. Always ensure any data that you want to keep is either backed up or transferred to another device.
Turn off your Samsung Galaxy S10.
Press and hold the 'Volume Up' and 'Bixby' buttons.
At the same time, press and hold the 'Power' button. Wait until the device vibrates and the Samsung logo appears on the screen. Release all buttons.
You'll now see the Android Recovery screen. Using the 'Volume' buttons to navigate the menu and the 'Power' button to select, find and choose 'Wipe data / Factory reset'. Select 'Yes' when prompted. Allow several seconds for the Factory Reset to finish.
Finally, select 'Reboot system now'. The reboot process will take several minutes.
And there you have it - you've completed a Factory Reset of your Samsung Galaxy S10!
Should I fix a damaged screen before selling my Samsung Galaxy S10?
That's difficult to answer unfortunately. But you'll certainly need to weigh up the following:
The type and location of any damage
Repair costs - to give you an idea, screen replacement and/or repairs for a Samsung Galaxy S10 can easily reach £229.
Whether to pay for any repairs before selling or if it's actually better to trade your device in as 'broken'.
Our handy valuation calculator is always a good place to start, designed to give you an idea of any differences between valuations of 'Good', 'Poor' and 'Broken' handsets.
And don't forget... If anything about our buy-back process is still unclear, just ask one of our friendly team - they'll be happy to help!
