Most recyclers quote one price and pay another. We built our trade-in around one promise: we pay what we say. Trading since 1999. Real people. Transparent process. [Get Your Quote Now].

Want to trade in your phone for cash? Here's exactly how it works.
Step 1 β Answer clear questions about your phone You won't be asked to decide if your phone is "Good" or "Poor". That's too vague, and it's why most trade-ins end in disappointment. We ask specific questions β battery health, screen condition, camera function, Face ID, charging port, cosmetic damage β and work out the value from your answers. You don't get put into a box. Your phone gets priced on what it actually is.
Step 2 β Send it in or drop it off Post your phone using our prepaid, tracked and insured packaging β covered up to Β£1,000. No queuing at the post office on your lunch break. You can drop off at one of our collection partners 7 days a week, from 6am to 11pm, with most people having a drop-off point within half a mile. Or visit our Wolverhampton store for an in-person assessment.
Step 3 β Get paid the moment we verify it We don't batch payments at the end of the day. If your phone arrives at 10am and we verify it by 10:30am, you get paid at 10:30am. Same-day payment means the day we receive it β not a vague promise buried in small print.
The question everyone asks when they want to sell their phone is what is my phone worth? Most sites give you a vague bracket. We give you a real number β based on your actual phone.
The comparison sites are built to show the highest price first. That's what drives clicks. But the highest price and the paid price are often very different things.
Most sites give you three options: Good, Poor, Faulty. Every phone on the market β thousands of models in every possible state β gets forced into one of those three buckets. Then, when your phone arrives and doesn't meet their interpretation of "Good", the price drops. You're left choosing between accepting less or waiting days to get your phone back.
We saw this happening β honestly, we did it ourselves years ago. The race to show the highest price to win volume is a race to the bottom. It upsets customers at exactly the moment trust matters most.
So we changed our approach completely.
Instead of asking you to judge your own phone, we ask a series of specific questions. From your answers, our system β built on our own repair cost data, part availability and resale values β calculates a price based on your individual device. Not a generic bracket. Your phone.
Since we introduced this model in 2025, 99.8% of customers received the full quoted amount. Re-quotes fell by 87%.
We price your phone like a garage values a car.
When you sell a car, nobody asks you to describe its condition. A mechanic inspects it. You get a price based on what it actually is. That's how we approach trading in your phone.
Two iPhone 13s can both technically be called "good condition." But one might have a stronger battery, cleaner back glass and no repair history, while the other is borderline on battery health with screen micro-abrasions. A generic bracket treats them identically. We don't. We ask the questions that surface the difference, and price accordingly.
Most recyclers offer you a "faulty" price and assume the worst. They know a phone might have 20 different faults, but group them all under one label and offer the floor. We don't. We ask about the specific faults β and price based on what those faults actually cost us to fix.
That means you often get more from us than you'd expect. Some of our reviews mention people coming to us specifically because they'd been told we pay what we quote. We still end up paying the highest price on many devices β not because we're chasing volume, but because we price honestly from the start.
Here's something most trade-in sites won't admit: they'll quote you a good price for an iPhone 13 or 14, knowing full well the battery is almost certainly below their minimum threshold. Then, when your phone arrives, the price drops.
We know the battery reality for most older iPhones. So instead of quoting a price we know won't stick, we ask you upfront. We show you how to check your battery health. We factor it into your quote from the beginning.
You get a price that reflects your actual phone. No surprises.
If you're asking how much is my phone worth UK and your battery is below 80%, we'll tell you upfront what that means for your quote β not after you've already sent it in.
You don't need a perfect phone to get a fair price when you trade in your old phone with us.
We accept:
Cracked or shattered screens
Degraded batteries or phones not holding charge
Faulty charging ports, speakers or microphones
Non-functioning cameras or biometric sensors
Cosmetic damage β scratches, dents, marks
Most recyclers price every broken phone around the worst-case scenario. Our in-house repair team assess every device for what it actually needs. A cracked back glass is not the same as a failed board. A battery issue is often predictable and inexpensive. A Face ID fault is a different matter. We know the difference, and price it accordingly.
In 2025, 98% of the 20,000 devices we received through trade in stayed in circulation. Only 2% were recycled.
Post offices are busiest at exactly the times most people can get there β lunch breaks and Saturdays. We designed our drop-off network around that reality.
Prepaid, tracked and insured β covered up to Β£1,000. If it gets lost in transit, that's our problem, not yours.
Flexible drop-off β use our collection partner network (including BPD), 7 days a week from 6am to 11pm. There's usually a drop-off point within half a mile for most of the UK.
In-store option β bring your phone to our Wolverhampton store for an immediate, face-to-face assessment.
No queueing at the post office. No stressing about whether a Β£900 phone is covered on a courier label worth Β£150.
In the rare case we can't pay the quoted amount, here's what we do:
We contact you directly β no automated messages, no vague notices
We send a full technician's report with photographic or video evidence explaining the issue
If we need to downgrade, we send your phone back free of charge β no quibbling
If we can't pay anything for your device, we don't just send it back. We offer something to acknowledge the hassle you've been through
We answer the phone. You can speak to someone. That's not standard in this industry β but it should be.
Every device we receive goes through certified data-wiping before anything else. Your photos, contacts and accounts are gone before the phone reaches our repair team.
Remove your iCloud or Google account lock before sending. If you're not sure how, our team can walk you through it β call us or use our step-by-step guides on this page. If you can't remove it due to a screen fault, we have a process for that too.
Online: Use our condition questionnaire, get a quote, pack your phone in our prepaid trade-in packaging and send it in. Tracked and insured to Β£1,000.
In store (Wolverhampton): Visit us at Unit 9, Wednesfield Business Park, Waddensbrook Lane, Wolverhampton, WV11 3SF β for a face-to-face assessment and instant valuation.
We've been trading since 1999. We have a physical store, a real phone number and a team that picks up β average call response time 30 seconds. You can call us before you trade your phone in. You can call us after. You won't get a ticket number and a three-day wait. That's been our approach for over 25 years. It won't change.
"This is actually the best company to trade in with, they are very honest and transparent. They pay at a competitive rate and they stick to their promise. They pay within minutes not days, the customer service is exceptional."
"From initial contact, through to receiving my payment, went very smoothly. Full tracking of my phone available, no delays, kept informed throughout the process. Can highly recommend using this company, and will certainly use again in the future."

How do you work out how much my phone is worth? We ask specific questions about your phone's condition β screen, battery, camera, Face ID, cosmetic damage and any faults. Our pricing model uses your answers alongside repair cost data and resale values to calculate a price for your individual device. You're not put into a generic "Good" or "Poor" bracket.
How long does it take to get paid when I sell my phone? We aim to pay the same day we receive and verify your phone β not at the end of the day. If your phone arrives at 10am and clears inspection by 10:30am, you're paid at 10:30am.
Can I trade in a broken phone? Yes. Answer the condition questions honestly and we'll price based on the specific faults, not a blanket "faulty" label.
What if the price changes when my phone arrives? It rarely does β 99.8% of customers receive the full quoted amount. In the rare case of a discrepancy, we contact you directly with a full technician's report and photos. We never automatically cut a price. If you're not happy, we return your phone free of charge.
My phone has a low battery β will that affect my trade-in price? We ask about battery health upfront and factor it into your quote from the start. We don't quote a full price knowing the battery will cause a reduction later.
Is postage covered when I trade in my phone? Yes. We provide prepaid, tracked packaging insured up to Β£1,000. You can also drop off at a collection point 7 days a week, or visit our Wolverhampton store.
Can I trade in my phone at your store? Yes. Visit us in Wolverhampton for an in-person assessment.
How do I remove my data before sending? Remove your iCloud or Google account before sending. We have step-by-step guides on this page, or call us and our team will help.
What's my phone worth if it's old? It depends on the model, condition, battery health and specific faults. Use our quote tool to find out β we ask the right questions to give you a real number, not a ballpark.
