Is the iPhone 6 still a good buy?

While the iPhone 6 isn't as 'modern' as more recent Apple smartphones, we think there's still a lot going for it!

For one, it's affordable! If you're looking to buy a cheaper iPhone - perhaps the first smartphone for a young relative - the Apple iPhone 6 is a great choice.

Secondly, it's got plenty of good tech! With a 4.7 Inch LED-Backlit Widescreen Multi‑Touch Display, an 8 Megapixel iSight Camera with 1080p HD video recording capabilities and up to 50 hours of audio playback, it's still a great little handset!

And finally, it's got a Home Button! iPhone 6 is blessed with Apple's iconic Home Button. Although some enjoy the Facial / Fingerprint Recognition technology in later smartphones, there's still plenty of us who prefer their iPhone to have a Home Button!

All this makes your Apple iPhone 6 very valuable - a great reason to sell it to us at The Big Phone Store!

Can I sell my iPhone 6 to Apple?

Yes... with a catch! Apple have a number of trade-in options for the iPhone 6. But they'll only give you 'store credit', so any money you make has to be spent in their Apple stores (both online and on the High Street). Here at The Big Phone Store, we won't be beaten on price! Even better, you'll always get any trade-in value as cash sent directly to your bank account.

We stock a wide selection of new and refurbished iPhone handsets at The Big Phone Store, including the superb iPhone 11 Pro, the brilliant iPhone X and the new iPhone 12 Pro Max. So take a look at the great deals and offers in our online store today and use the cash value from your iPhone 6 to buy yourself an amazing smartphone.

How much can I sell an Apple iPhone 6 for?

Here at The Big Phone Store, we like to keep things simple, with only three things used to determine the value of any Apple iPhone 6 handset - 'network', 'storage' and 'condition'.

First up, the 'network'. Most iPhones in circulation around the world are 'locked' to particular network providers (like EE, BT, Vodafone, Tesco Mobile, etc.). This means your handset cannot connect to another network. However, if you take the time to 'unlock' your device, you'll find it's generally worth more money when it comes to trade-in. All you have to do is contact your network provider and they can take you through everything. It's very straightforward, but also something we highly recommend if you're looking to sell your iPhone 6. Apple aren't able to 'unlock' an iPhone - it can only be done by network providers.

Then we come to 'storage'. Everything's nice and simple here - we accept the iPhone 6 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The bigger the storage, the higher its value!

And last up, 'condition'. We've made things super easy by splitting our 'condition' criteria into four categories: New, Good, Poor and Broken. You can find detailed conditions for each classification below and there's further information on these categories in our full Terms and Conditions.

But to give you an idea of how we classify the 'condition' of your device at The Big Phone Store, here's a run-through of some of the key things we look for:

  • New. In the original, sealed box. Must not have been refurbished or reconditioned. Must be the factory original. Must be removed from iCloud or any account that could limit usage.

  • Good. Full working order. Only light wear and tear. No damage, scratches, defects, chips, marks or imperfections. LCD screen must have no signs of discolouration, screen burn, missing pixels or any other imperfections. No dust under the screen or camera. Must contain only genuine parts. Must have Good Battery Health.

  • Poor. Full working order. Average wear and tear acceptable. LCD screen must have no signs of discolouration, screen burn, missing pixels or any other imperfections. No dust under the screen or camera. Must contain only genuine parts. Must have Satisfactory Battery Health and not require a service.

  • Broken. Has faults or is damaged. Must not be bent, crushed or in pieces. Must have no internal missing parts.

Can I sell my broken iPhone 6 to The Big Phone Store?

Absolutely! As long as your iPhone 6 meets the criteria for 'broken' (most do), we'll accept it and look to give you the best possible price. We aim to repair every 'broken' device we receive, or at least reuse as many working parts as possible. The extensive range of refurbished iPhones on offer in our online store shows just how good we are at it!

But what if your iPhone 6 is damaged beyond repair? Don't worry - you can still contribute by recycling it. While it may not hold any monetary value, you're still doing your bit for the planet! We promise to recycle every unusable device or part in the most environmentally friendly, safe way possible.

How easy is it to sell my iPhone 6?

In a word... Very! At The Big Phone Store, we've made selling your iPhone 6 simple and straightforward. Here's how our 5-step process works:

  1. Decide to sell. Congratulations - you've done this already! And don't forget... you're in the right place to get the best possible price for your iPhone 6.

  2. Place your order. Start by selecting the 'condition', 'network', 'storage' and 'quantity' of the handset(s) you want to sell. Remember to look carefully at the 'condition' criteria to give you the best chance of getting the right price for your iPhone 6. After that, fill out your personal details, choose a designated bank account and send it all through to us!

  3. Wait for your Welcome Pack. Usually within 24 hours of your order being placed, we'll send a Welcome Pack containing a Freepost bag and instructions telling you how to send your iPhone 6 to us. Just place the relevant item(s) in the bag and post it straight back.

  4. We check your order. As soon as we receive your package, we'll send an email telling you it's arrived. We then check the delivery and whether the 'storage', 'condition' and 'network' are as you selected.

  5. You get paid! As soon as the condition is confirmed by our hard working team, we immediately process the payment to your designated bank account.
